  • This game gets boring after a while

School gets super boring after a while
  • Great game. Grinding gets boring after a while

I’ve been playing this game for a long time. Almost the whole time it has been out. I love how they do not force you to pay to play. It does help but it’s not necessary. The only criticism I have is that when you get up there it is too long of a grind to unlock certain characters. The ship portion is a bit too much in my opinion. Just gets in the way.
  • A.I. difficulty/efficiency

    By Lukahn
The A.I. is too powerful. I use the right characters to fight either Sith, Jedi, Rebels, or what not. But the A.I. keeps having better luck with bonus attacks and stunning my characters. Even when I put the fight in automotive mode, the battles aren’t even close. Please do something about this. Not to mention the amount of items needed to upgrade characters vs. how many we actually get with every mission. Many times I’ll do a mission a dozen times, but I’ll only get one of the items I’m looking for. It says 1 of the item per mission. It’s not like it would say1-5, and hardly ever give 5, it hardly ever gives one. Your game, like the recently released trilogy, is very disappointing.
  • Only if you want a long grind…

The graphics are great and all your favourite characters are here, but if all you want to do is ‘complete’ your collection it will never happen. New content is severely restricted to either grinding for it for months (or more) or paying a lot of real money. I mean easily $500+ to unlock and kit a new character. So many levels of in-game currency. Gear is hard to get, but you need to swap it for ‘relic’ material. Then your favourite toon gets re-released as a ‘legend’ and you literally need to max gear 15 other characters to unlock it! As a free-to-play player, I am constantly chasing the last-greatest team (or maybe 2-3 before) because money is the only way forward. If you can sustain yourself in a top guild you can make quicker progress but it’s a huge time commitment expected and hours a day tweaking toons to do missions. But if you don’t, you can’t access top relic gear needed to unlock the new content. Don’t start with this game if you have any intention of doing well on it. Play for fun but it is 1000s of hours and dollars to be anywhere near the top.
  • Open your wallet if you want to compete, or experience interesting content

Is this game free to play? Technically, yes. However, unlocking the most powerful characters, (which everyone who pumps money into this game already has) will take a long time. By long I mean: Months and months and months or possibly even years. You will find the journey toward getting those characters unlocked to be a huge grind, and so CG will constantly dangle PAID SHORTCUTS in front of you. It’s not cheap either! If you decide to grind it out and hold on to your money, you will eventually get there (all the while getting beat up by players who just bought their way there) .. and by the time you finally reach your goal, CG has released a bunch of newer, even more powerful characters.. with even more ridiculous requirements.. which have now been newly acquired (via paid shortcuts) by those who continue to pump money into this game. It’s manipulative corporate greed on display every day, and it’s nauseating. I’ve been playing since 2015 and each day CG moves the goalpost slightly further away.. the only real way to catch up is to spend money. If you hold on to your money your ‘progress’ will eventually hit a glass ceiling and you’ll be forced to the sidelines where you just can’t compete … After all: CG needs to make everyone who “paid to win” happy. This one silly cell phone game has made more money than all other Star Wars games ever. Google it. The greed is strong with CG. Like, very strong. So strong it churns my stomach. There’s some casual fun to be had here, but if you want to play the most interesting or powerful characters: either open your wallet or get ready to spend years grinding. Hint: You’ll never get there unless you pay.
  • Best Star Wars Game

Just wish it had a lower paywall.
  • Addictive & Expensive

    By Spartanjonny5
As a huge Star Wars fan I love the game and the characters. The developers however, have made it pay to play effectively for the most part. When players figure out ways around this they "fix" or "improve" by adding ridiculous requirements that only high paying players, & those who spend hours on end, can attain. As most fans likely do, we complain, pay, and trod on. One example of their alleviation to players was adding more difficult and expensive gear to take minds off the already difficult gear pieces. I'M LOOKING AT YOU RELIC 8! So far I've spent $3k+ over the past few years feeding my addiction. Also, the ever elusive relic 8 "aeromagnifiers" available only through a crazy raid, crazy conquest or around $90CAD is tearing guilds apart and making recruitment of new players with excessive (unreasonable) expectations brutal. Caveat emptor: prepare to open your wallets. JP
  • Great game

It’s a great game with lots to do but expensive at end game level. You can grind to earn most of the stuff but if your not willing to pay real bucks then you better be patient lol.
  • Great!

I’ve played this game almost since its release. You have all your loved or hated characters here. There is no real need to buy anything, just put in the time. The more you play the better you can do. It’s a challenge sometimes, but, that’s what games should be like.
  • CG is greedy.

This game used to be fair for FTP and whales. Now there is an universe between us.
