If you’re reading this wondering whether or not you should download it, then let me say this: yes, it’s a very fun game. If you’re a fan of the sw universe it doesn’t get better than this. Virtually every note worthy character is available, and you can have lots of fun mixing up squads and having characters from different eras and alignments team up. The abilities are surprisingly diverse and while not always the most balanced, they do a decent job of it. Regular updates keep the game fresh and exciting, and there’s a very clear meta if you’re into the competitive side of things, which is another area that’s surprisingly fleshed out for a mobile game. It does a passable job as a time killer, but it’s definitely geared towards dedicated players willing to grind. And that’s where the game quality starts to dip imo. These people did not set out to make this game for people to be able to work their way to the top. It is ABSOLUTELY meant to squeeze every last cent out of you that it can. You can grind, sure, but I’m not exaggerating even a bit when I tell you it will take YEARS to grind everything you need to get the best characters and gear, and that’s IF you make good decisions about which squads you want to grind out in the first place. The player is absolutely taken advantage of in this area, basically wearing you down until you finally break and spend anywhere from 5 bucks on resources that won’t even get you through a full grinding session, to spending 50 bucks on a necessary character for the “journey guide” (where the best and most famous characters are) and even then you don’t get the full character and some are even gambles on whether or not you’ll even get the character you want/need. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. I could write a novel on all the ways these people try to rip you off but I think this essay is long enough as is. This is a fun game and the gameplay alone warrants a download but is 100% pay to win. Be prepared for the fact that unless you’re willing to shell out enough money to pay for an actual game 20x over, it’s a long, LONG and arduous process to get to max player level, which is where the game truly shines anyway.
  • Love the game but.

Love the game, played for 2 plus years and stopped and when I got a new phone and redownloaded the game I lost my old account and have been told without player I’d there’s no way to recover it, isn’t that why you have players not able to choose the same names, I love this game but sadly you can’t change the developers and people on the team
  • It's addictive but not sure it's good

I've been playing for a few months now and have a pretty good sense of the lay of the land. First, it's a good "fidget spinner" game. Meaning something you can be doing without really thinking to much about it. There are some clever mechanics that differentiate it from other "leveler" games. So the premise is good and the introduction of lesser known SW characters is cool. It will definitely draw you in and keep you coming back. The bad; it's the most unbalanced "leveler" game I've ever played. The whole thing is centered around getting certain guys that will either take years or thousands of dollars to get. This is THE biggest pay to play game I've played. On top of that, the matchmaking in PVP is horrible. You're either the shark or the bate. There's no attempt to keep the battles competitive. It's designed to make you feel powerful when you win and then lose and make you feel like you need to spend more money. So, if you want to play, just know, you're either going to be stuck at a low level forever. In which case you'll probably quit or have to invest a couple hundred bucks a month. Those are really the only two choices. Your call.
  • Cool game but…

I really like this game and it is really fun but some stuff you just can’t get like maul or it is really really hard to get like hermit yoda and then now it is hard to get Jedi knight luke Skywalker but like. I also think a chat would be good for allies and if your new it is pretty impossible to get hermit yoda but in total good game also this game needs more updates more often
  • Not what it seems

As someone whose played this game for about 2-3 years its not what it seems. Over and over again Ive looked for this game to do right by its fanbase and release content that is fun and enjoyable. Unfortunately I’ve seen anything but that as they release content blocked behind pay walls that make the game unenjoyable. I recommend anyone who joins today to be ready to spend money if they want to reach a competitive level and to be able to hold their own in the games most recent content. Very dissatisfied with my experience with the game as other competitors have looked to solve certain issues that SWGOH increasingly implements in its model as time has gone on. 👎🏼
  • Don’t waste your time with this greedy evil developer.

I’ve been playing this game since 2018. I have two accounts because there’s an insane amount of characters to collect. And unless you want to spend LITERALLY $300 per character to make them functional due to starring, gearing and relicing gates, it takes months to get anything done. I’ve seen the high of this game and it’s officially at an all time low. CG doesn’t care about you as a player unless you’re spending money, like boat loads of money. The playing experience is unbearable 50% of the time but you can pay to make it bearable 70% of the time. I love Star Wars and this has almost every character you can think of but you’re better off getting Lego Star Wars instead.
  • Love it, but no controller support?

Please add controller support for this game!
  • 5 star comments are either bots or paid players or maybe someone who can spend 1000s of dollars

This game is fun at first but then it gets boring because either you spend and this is not a joke grind for three years and even then you will never be able to really take part in guilds because if you don’t spend everyone else will and you can’t keep up with the level of raids they keep doing and one more thing who ever made this game must love the bad batch because I have a team like 5 lvls above theirs and higher gear lvl and guess what they had health equivalent to a light side battle 5 boss which makes no sense because they also couldn’t have those health modifiers so yeah either get this game If you are rich or like playing the same lvl over and over again and I got lucky with an even and calendar that got me a character that pulls like 80 percent of the weight also not exaggeration because I did the same lvl without that character and I lost by a lot so yeah… first few days are okay though
  • Don’t do it

So I’m a huge Star Wars fan. I’ve played a lot of mainstream Star Wars games. If you’re looking to play a Star Wars game on the go whenever don’t get this. Gameplays boring and takes forever to get anywhere in this game. It’s an easy cash grab from yet another EA release trying to milk Star Wars and the fact that everyone is actually paying to get characters is ridiculous. Skill is measured by how much money you put into the game or how much of your time you wasted grinding on this game. It’s not good at all and now is one of the only Star Wars games left on mobile. It takes almost a year to get to a good spot. If you download this game I guarantee you’ll just uninstall and give up on it or you won’t stick with it.
  • Best Star Wars game ever. But I have one problem

It gets really annoying when your in the grand arena and you get paired up with someone that has galactic legends and relic eight and you only have like five relic five guys but they are your only relic characters but the enemy has almost their entire roster with relic six sevens and eights. But overall I love the game.
