After having successfully using Hopper once before, I have been shopping flights to Maui to attend my father-in-law’s wedding. It happens to be right before the holidays and money is tight. I was excited to see a decent price that I thought we might be able to afford so I paid for a price freeze. $55 per person x4, $220 total. After discussing it and deciding we were going to go for it, I am in shock and then tears to see that the price is suddenly over $500 per person and they will only cover up to $100 over the frozen price? Convenenient!! Suddenly it has more than doubled now that I’m ready to purchase the tickets? . We can no longer afford to go and are now not only going to miss the wedding, but also lost $220 that could have been Christmas gifts! There’s no phone number and no one I can call and talk to you so they can hear the English in my voice -You can’t seem to even email without a booking number!! What a scam! This is not right! BBB?!

Price Freeze is a scam. I froze the price at $983 and paid the “deposit”, returned 5 days later and checked the current price and it was $984, the when I purchased the tickets, they charged $1003. Don’t fall for it 🤬GUYGRJ

I hate writing reviews, but feel like I need to in this case. We have used Hopper since 2016. & have never had an issue of any kind until now. On August of this year, my husband purchased tickets for us, a family of four with a 16 month old & a 7yr old, to go back home and take a vacation while home. We chose flights that with layovers to give our kids a chance to be able to get up & run around. The first part of our trip, we had 2 flights with a layover between them, and those were relatively good with no issues. At our 2nd layover however, when we went to go check in for flight, the airline told us the tickets were no good & needed the credit that was in my name to finish purchasing the tickets. I had no clue about this credit card and needed to finish getting home, we had no choice and had to purchase all new tickets since we were in a place where we new nobody or had resources to help us. Hopper has no actual customer service phone number to connect you to a live person, so we weren’t able to call and talk to someone to get help. The airlines even printed off what they could provide us since we didn’t have t he credit card, that was put into my name, plus the receipt for the tickets that we had just purchased, which ate greatly into our budget for the trip. When my husband contacted Hopper about the issue they have only been frustrating. He sent them everything we have them, plus the airline that we had to purchase tickets from. Hopper sent him information about a virtual credit card that they put my name on, which also didn’t match the information we were given from the airline about the credit card used to purchased the tickets for myself and our 2 children. His ticket showed it was paid for in cash because his ticket was purchased separately from mine and the kids because we have different return dates due to his leave being limited for work. Hopper also sent us information saying that credit card was from Kiwi.com, which is another travel app and advertised as cheap travel. We didn’t purchase our flights from Kiwi. We purchased from Hopper and now they are telling us, after they had sent us confirmation emails for our flights, that they have to “contact their travel associate” while we wait and still are without the funds for having to purchase tickets for our last flight. We have no communication from anyone, except Hopper about our flights. Hopper has assured us that our return flights are confirmed, but I honestly can’t trust what they say after this experience. So instead of being able to relax and enjoy our limited time together as a family with family and friends, we can’t beyond this whole issue. This is causing a great deal of distress for me because I relied on Hopper for our trip, & have in the past for over 5yrs now. I will post an update once everything has been finalized and we actually on our flights on our way back.

I was going to book a flight from one location to another It said it was supposed to be $25 then they charge me full price of the ticket and everyone that I talk to aboutSeem to care less about what my issue was and was just saying that a refund was going to be issue with in how many days but that was after I canceled the flight because I was not obligated to pay full price for another seven days
