  • Great app to track allowance and chores

I’ve tried paper charts and other apps, this app is by far the best for our use case. I’m able to set up and approve chores and my kid can check them off as they are done on their device. My favorite feature outside of the kid being able to check off daily chores is the ability for the parent to say full allowance at the end of the week or give them a percentage based on number of chores completed.
  • Pay for extra:(

So… We have a nine-year-old boy and six-year-old girl. Both of them have chores that have to do being part of the family and they have extra chores or they can earn money. This app has allowed for both of those types of chores to exist simultaneously. I wish I could add a screenshot of this but basically we have them do things like make their bed, clean their room, empty the dishwasher etc. as part of the family chores. Things like clean up bird poop from the front deck and vacuum the car, come with a small monetary incentive but are not mandatory. We’ve also experimented with paying them for demonstrating academic achievement (Beyond what they are required in school) with small monetary incentives. All this to say that this app has helped us plan, track, and reward tasks.

This is a great tool. Easy to use for parents and kids. Our kids are much more engaged with chores, earning allowance, saving, and giving since we started using this app.

The tool has a lot of features such as splitting finance into different accounts (saving, spending and giving), history of transactions and flexibility to add different chores. I love the app!

I use this app to help motivate my 13 yo son to help out around the house. We have set up a weekly chore list and I give his $10 allowance to him at the end of each week. He has the app on his phone too and he likes being able to see how much he has earned. I also reward him when he does things that are hard for him or he is working on. Sometimes I use it as a carrot, and it works. And now he’ll come to me and say ‘Take $4.99 out of my Rooster for Roblox ‘. He feels some autonomy over his financial decisions. We have a rule that any money grandparents give, half of it goes into the savings in Rooster. So he is racking up some savings too. We have not started the ‘goals’ or ‘giving’ yet. This app works for us, we will continue to use it and add those two sections later.
