  • New updates are trash

With all the updates they want you to spend more money. Characters are harder to get and if you miss them look to spend at least $10.00 just for a chance at what you want. More likely that you’ll end up with useless decorations that you have no room to place because land is at a premium. This game used to be amazing and fun and like everything else it’s more about the almighty dollar and getting you to spend money. I’ve been playing for years and now I’m seriously thinking about deleting it.

It just gets crappier and crappier. You hardly get any space to place new objects, the characters are introduced as TIME LIMITED CONTENT THAT YOU OFTEN HAVE TO PAY FOR AND OCCASIONALLY THEY ARE AVAILABLE ONLY IN LOOT CRATES THAT HAVE BEEN REBRANDED AS CHESTS, and they have recently just wrecked the happiness rewards system. You basically have to live your life on this game all the time now to maintain the levels you want whereas just one week ago it was more stable and the happiness rewards lasted longer and there were more opportunities to get them. They do this so you’ll be compelled to spend actual money (you know, the thing that would be better suited to use on groceries, your mortgage, etc) on the game to “protect your happiness” and also so you’ll get fewer tokens due to the lowered happiness meter prompting you to BUY THINGS SO YOU CAN MAYBE POSSIBLY GET THE CHARACTERS AND COMPLETE THE EVENTS. And no, no amount of BS “tower challenges” is going to make it better. Give players more land, make the happiness system stop royally sucking, and give us some actual cool characters to collect regularly instead of doing your best to nickel and dime players by only giving us new characters in events. Happiest place on earth, my rear end.
  • Don’t bother.

At first, it was disappointing that you couldn’t really make your kingdom look anything coherent or even nice because the amount of land they open up was negligible and none of your attractions matched the area. So if you want it to vaguely have some sense of cohesion or look like a Disney park that’s not going to happen. Instead it’s a hot mess of concession stands and some attractions. I was willing to look past that. Then the tower challenges or events don’t give you any time to get the characters especially the last Moana event. And they don’t space the events enough in order for you to level up anyone in time for the next event. That was annoying too but I was willing to look past that as well. And don’t be fooled into buying or using gems for the treasure chests. Even the highest level chest will probably only give you a wooden bench or some useless trophy or topiary. The latest update has got to be the worse though! To keep your visitors at a high level of happiness you basically have to play 24/7 and have no job, don’t sleep or go out to see the light of day. The developers say it makes token drops easier and more chances to “grab wishes” which increase your happiness but since the upgrade I have seen less wishes out there to grant and if I spend time granting them, I’m not doing any tasks to drop the tokens I need. It’s a catch-22. In summary, the developers lie and just want your money. This game may have started out free, but in reality to do anything, it costs money. The improvements are not improvements at all. And it may sound petty and 1st World problems regarding a free game but when you expect a “Free Game” it implies not having to spend money and it should be enjoyable. People don’t play games they don’t enjoy. I’m just glad I never paid any real money into this game and really feel bad for those that have. Update: developers said they read the comments and are looking into it. Gave some happiness and elixir so we could put a safeguard on our happiness. Seems like a pacifying bandaid solution but so far nothing has changed. Makes me wonder if they even attempted to fix it or if this was just a lure to make us believe they’re working on it.

Gameloft is Making to Many Unsatisfying and Unwanted Changes to the DMK! In the Beginning, I was Excited about Playing Disney Magic Kingdoms and Referred it to my Friends, Which is How I came to the DMK... But I do NOT give out Referrals Anymore... In fact, it is the Complete Opposite... Now, I tell Everyone Not to Download this app, that it Has become a $inkhole for your “Real Money” as well as Frustrating, Extremely Time-Consuming And GR$$DY is the Newest Dwarf in the DMK!😞 I know I too, Should Take my Own Advice and Walk Away... But I Keep Holding Out Hope that Disney Magic Kingdoms Will Stop Turning a “Deaf Ear” and Hear the Cries of it’s Kingdomers and Make the Necessary Improvements and Bring Back the Magic and Enthusiasm to the DMK! At Present, it Feels More like Being Stuck on a Continuous, Spinning Ride or a Out-of-Control Roller Coaster!🤢🤮 Disney Magic Kingdoms- Loses 1 Star for Each! 1. GREED: GameLoft is Making Certain Aspects of the Game to Challenging so you feel Compelled to spend “Real Money” to Complete the Time-Limited Quest! 2. Not Enough Land to Expand the Park! 3. The Parks New Happiness Meter is Horrible! I Hope Someone Makes a Executive Decisions to Save the DMK and it’s Kingdomers from this Evil Curse, Before We do our Own Walkthrough... Straight to the Exit Gate!!! Disney Magic Kingdoms/GameLoft #BRINGBACKTHEMAGIC! PLEASE HELP 😻♥️🏰 AS SHE DID... ONCE UPON A TIME!🤞

I have played this game for over 3 years and used to love participating in the challenges and collecting all the characters. With this latest update though they made it to where you need to be able to play 24 hours a day to keep happiness levels up which helps you get character tokens easier. It is very apparent that they are trying to turn this into a fully pay to win game and I am officially done. Good job gameloft for ruining a fun game that I used to not mind throwing some money at, but not anymore.

I am a long time MK game player...years. At first this game was fun. During this last year the changes made to this game have been horrible! If you want to have any degree of success with this game you have to play CONSTANTLY! It is like having a part time job. If you want to play a fun, relaxing game, this game is NOT it. I don’t know what changed, but the brain behind the development of this game is driving it into the ground. Read their FB page for details. I know this game is free, and I don’t mind spending small amounts occasionally, but it is impossible to play with any degree of success now. Pass this game up, find some other game that is still fun to play.

Save yourself some time and cash because this game is literally nothing but a cash grab. Each update seems to get worse! This toy story 4 update is the last straw for me.

This is not a game of skill. It is simply a process of collecting things. I have played since the beginning because it required ver little time and effort, and bought something every month to help the developers. I have paid more money for this “game” over the last few years than I have paid to play real games, but it was fine because it was a way to kill a few minutes every few hours and see what new features or characters are added. “I will play until the Black Pearl is added” or “Let’s see which characters get added to promote this movie.” It was stupid and harmless. Now I would need to constantly play to maintain a level of happiness where I could get new characters, or I will need to be constantly paying real money to allow me to keep collecting. So this has switched to a model where I would have to pay to “win” a game where there is no skill or actual winning involved. None of the rewards actually exist, so paying even more money for them is stupid. It was fine when it was a little bit, but it’s tipped over into a place where the amount of money involved is just too much. “Stupid but harmless” is now just stupid expensive. I guess the developers need to make money, but they can get it from someone who doesn’t mind paying what is actually a lot of money for very little reward. Or they could make a game that has actual gameplay and requires actual skill and might be worth the money.
  • Horrible game I have ever played

This change was stupid. I’ve quit other games for making things more difficult than it needs to be. When it starts becoming a job, it’s time to peace out.
