    If you purchase a Plan from McAfee you are at risk of the account automatically downgrading and losing all of your money with no reimbursement or reactivation of the account. Here’s why. I purchased a Plus Plan for $80 in November last year. Noticed I had been automatically downgraded to Free version in February this year. Have spent 15+ hours with reps, supervisors and tech support between February and May, mostly waiting over 1+ hours to get connected (mostly before COVID restrictions). Most reps were nice and eventually transferred me to supervisors who continuously stated that I had cancelled my account in February (I obviously did not). After I continued to reiterate that I did not cancel my account, they transferred me to technicians. Because they were unable to identify the problem right away, they would state “don’t worry, we will figure this out and call within 48 hours.” They would typically call after 2 weeks. I continued to provide proof of purchase, proof that the account reflected “free status,” etc. and they all agreed that the discrepancies between my purchase and the account reflected something wasn’t right. Finally, (what sounded like) a group of more advanced technicians acknowledged an internal McAfee error “that we had never seen before,” resulting in the account automatically downgrading. They said they would re-activate the account but needed time to address the error. I never heard from them again (waited 2+ weeks). So I then spoke with supervisors to get the account re-activated. They said they could see the general but not specific notes from techs (not sure what this means), that they couldn’t do this, and requested that I pay another $80 for a new plan. I asked to be transferred to techs who again told me they’d call back (they never did). This process repeated a couple times. (Felt like I was losing my mind at this point). I finally requested a refund or anything done to make this right. Supervisors continuously declined. Heads up, McAfee customer service calls come from various counties as well as strange numbers that don’t reflect any country and show up as spam. I was not able to get a refund from my phone carrier because at that point it had been more than 6 months. Complete nightmare. Good thing I spent the 15+ hours with them on my commute so I didn’t completely waste my life. Even then, I feel completely taken advantage of, mislead, and was ultimately offered no opportunity or compromise to make this right. Proceed with caution.

    Seems to do well. Very happy with it’s performance, also recommends other possibly needed apps to try for security.👍👍

    Check your battery usage in iPhone settings - this drains the battery bad.

    Make sure when you delete the app or unsubscribe from this scam company that you remove all cards and delete your actual account from McAfee. I was forced to blacklist McAfee on my bank account so they couldn’t charge me yet again for the 2nd year in a row. Reached out to support and they told me I don’t have an account and that they never charged me. Clearly have evidence of both. They then refused to reply back to my responses and weekly follow ups. 2 months later they close the trouble ticket saying I didn’t respond. This company is a scam and incredibly pricey for what it doesn’t do.
