Keep the app running in the background and it will automatically record the last time and place it saw your item on a map.     I’ve had Tile for a while and I bought it to put it in things that I missed placed like my keys, my wallet. but now when you open the app by the time it takes to even locate the item and much signals it. you’ve had plenty of time to walk around and find your lost item.

    Let me opt out of getting the premium messages. You are just ticking off customers who will never subscribe to this service and maybe ones that would in the future.

    I hate the new version of this app every time I try to look for my keys or phone the app is disconnected from Bluetooth.

    App abuses push notifications to nag for location services constantly. Totally unacceptable design.

    Incredibly dumb design change with the latest update. Forget about finding your phone with the Tile if you miss place it while you have location services turned off to conserve battery. Now, with with that feature being unavailable unless location services is turned on, your phone is likely to be dead anyway because location services uses up so much battery when you need to find your phone anyway. Why would Tile decrease the functionality of the tiles this way?

    I’ve had two waves of Tiles since they started. Originally the app wasn’t trying to upsell every feature, now it does. The worst part back then is you couldn’t replace a battery, you HAD to buy a new tile and waste plastic. I let my 6 run dead even tho the concept was great. I recently bought two more to try again on my luggage when I travel. Now the in app purchases are so annoying that I feel like it’s nothing but and advertisement. On top of that, the app won’t find my the two tiles I bought 4 months ago. And no where is there support for it. Tile, as you choose to age my tiles batteries out of your system you’ve lost one of your original customers over your money grab. Sad.

    There is not an easy way to get support. My tile has stopped working after 8 months. The battery, if that’s the problem, should last a year. There is no way to claim a battery replacement through the app or through their website. Chat is available by clicking the non-existent chat bubble on their website. Brilliant move tile! Offer warranties that cost the consumer $4 to send the product back to you for a <$1 battery replacement. You’d have to be an idiot to spend $4 to get back $1. If the product is under warranty and fails, tile should cover the cost of shipping to and from. They also removed features that you now hav to pay a premium for, when they were part of the original product. Can you imagine buying a car with keyless entry and a year later the automaker makes keyless entry a premium paid for service as part of their “upgrade”. It’s been a good test but their are similar products with full gps tracking in a device that’s the same size for $5 more. I have unfortunately turned into that grumpy old dude that’s fed up with crap like “send us the product back, which you have to pay for, and we will send you a new one” really?
  • Don’t buy the premium it’s false

    I bought the premium to get the location history for the last 30 days on my Tile. It doesn’t even give me a location history at all! It won’t even give me a location unless my phone is with it but I get that location anyway because my phone is acting as a Tile as well.... so this thing is a bunch of BS!!!
