I had a blast using this app in seventh grade (2017). You were able to create your own account without paying. I recently wanted to come back to using this app to be disappointed. I wanted to let my youngest brother try it but you need to give your credit card information to even try it out?!?! I just am not going to bother with this app anymore. Based on the other reviews, I am very discouraged to even bother. I thought coding was for everyone (I heard that you need to pay to even unlock tutorials!!!) but guess they decided that money was more important than for users to understand how the app works.
  • It won’t let me play...

I LOVE this game; its fun, engaging, entertaining, and educational to anyone in all ages who is interested in coding! Why is it great? Simply for the reason kids and older can explore everybody’s games to give them inspiration on upcoming games they wanna create, this game involves and can give a child much creativity! Final answer: A would recommend to any rookie coder Thanks!

Although this programming app is very fun and useful, I believe it’s full potential is limited by the monthly fee for full access. A child or blooming developer should not need to pay $79.99 a year for a starting programming app. It is still very useful for starting programmers, but needs to cut the in-app purchases.
  • I love hopscotch! ❤️❤️😁

I really like Hopscotch and the coding is great! But, one thing that I think should be added is slides. Then, it’s easier if you are making a baking or a multi-step program. You won’t have to layer things. I really like this game too because you can be really creative, and if you are not an expert coder, there are video tutorials for you so you can get the hang of it. Love this game and give it five stars!

Best app ever! Get it! My favorite app in the whole wide world is hopscotch. I wore like 20 good reviews about hopscotch so I’m gonna give some suggestions. So I think you should have a subscription free, but charge money to buy the app. Because A lot of reviews say that free subscriptions is the only thing they would change, and maybe more people would get the app if you made them free. Also, I’ve been seeing a lot of art, chatting, and role plays. I think you should make a tab for all of them because that’s like all I see, and hopscotch is mostly for coding. So, other than that, hopscotch is perfect! Good job!

Hopscotch is an amazing app. It’s educational and fun at the same time which is sometimes hard to achieve. However, there are a few problems/concerns that I have with the app. Okay, first of all, I go into the app and explore projects. I search for a project, but it says it can’t load and I should check my internet. I do check my internet and there’s not a problem. I brushed it off as a glitch, but the next day (today) it still didn’t work. I can search for Hopscotchers just fine, but for some reason, I can’t search projects. It may be just me, but if it’s not, I’d like to know how to fix it. Another concern is that I really miss the old Hopscotch. No subscriptions, easier to make projects and all around a better app. I miss that. I understand that the developers wanted to change it up a little but it’s honestly not that great. Overall, this app is decent. I definitely recommend this for people who love to code or just anyone looking for a fun app. Thank you!
