  • Best calendar app I’ve used, but it doesn’t sync properly

    By Macdizzle14
I have tested over 20 calendars and this one is my favorite, hands down- for many reasons. The problem is that the task feature does not sync properly from device to device. Example: I spent roughly 6 hours yesterday updating all of my Task Lists, adding colors, using my chicken scratch notes to update the app - all on my iPad. When I woke up this morning and turned on the iPad, it looked great - just how I left it the night before. Then I turned on the app on my iPhone, and it was showing the previous version? This can’t be… So I update apps on both devices, power them both down completely and back up to assist with sync, and sure enough- not only did it not update anything on my phone, but the next time I opened the app on my iPad, all of the updates were lost and it was showing the previous version that my phone showed this morning. I have probably lost 40 hours of productivity due to this. Very frustrating!

There’s other apps but not one of them is better than this one. It may be a very well kept secret.
  • Love it but...

I was so excited to use the Mac app having been a long time user of Calendar 5 on my phone. I switched over to Calendars and just loved the fun additions of weather and unique calendars. I began to use the Mac app and adore the planner function. I WANT so badly to love this software, but unfortunately it is too buggy for me to feel comfortable using. The iphone apps have been so reliable for me, but thats just not so with this one. The app oftentimes will not allow me to edit or delete an appointment or task that I've added. As I fiddle with my schedule quite a bit, this has become extremely frustrating for me, forcing me to revert to the stock Calendar app to make changes. I'm finding it difficult to justify a subscription when I need to jump into the stock app anyway to make simple changes. There is so much to love about this software. If only...
  • Unusably buggy

First off, I want to love this app. I'm a big Readdle fan — I use several of their apps on a daily basis. I was hoping to use Calendars to replace Fantastical. The app experience is decent. It's a different interface from most calendaring apps I've used in the past, but not difficult to learn. It seems to have some buginess integrating with Apple's reminders. It's not broken, just not very reliable. The big trouble is with scheduling any event with an attendee. My company uses Office and Outlook for calendaring, productivity, etc. The main calendar that I'm scheduling to, multiple times at week, is my Outlook calendar. This calendar syncs to Calendars locally, and does so reliably. However, when I try to schedule anything with an invitee, Calendars immediately crashes upon clicking "Send Invite". Additionally, if I add the event to my calendar without any invitees, and then come back later and try to add the invitees by editing it, Calendars will ask me if I want to save my edits to the item .... but then does nothing. That save dialog box will stay on the screen, never saving, until I click cancel. Unforutnately, I discovered this bug after paying for a year's subscription — that's my bad. But until this bug is fixed, this app is functionally useless for me.
  • Not a good User Interface

Spent a bunch of time using this and didn’t care for the UI at all - there was no elegance to it. I don’t need a blended calendar/task reminder tool. It’s easier to use the iOS calendar and reminders. It did have the nice feature of having a hook to Zoom, but also needs one to MS Teams.

Why can’t you edit and delete things on your calendar that’s pretty stupid. When you can’t edit and delete stuff on your calendar.

Really keeps my life organized. Quite simple and easy to use
  • Versatile & functional

This is the best calendar so far. It’s flexibility, allows archiving, which is important in accessing previous date events. You can write notes on dates, a plus. The time and date function itself can be a little squirrelly-it flips positions to easily, and there is no way to edit out someone’s BD, or specific holiday if you don’t want that one individual item on autofill.
  • Best calendar app of all time

    By saloNbmo
I have ADHD and my entire life have worked multiple jobs while going to school. Life got even more wild when I went to medical school and started working as a doctor. Working 60-100hrs per week in multiple different locations, I would barely know where to be if this calendar didn’t exist. The two biggest things that do it for me are 1. How easy it is to use, especially the copy paste function for adding shifts that don’t occur on a regular basis. 2. Being able to see the text without having to click on it unlike most other calendars. One of my calendars stopped linking to the app bc my job took away the apps privileges and I was a mess when I thought it was a mistake and deleted the app to reset it and thought I lost all my calendars. Close to panicking. Luckily all of my data came back and I was able to link my other account to my google account and we’re completely back in action. I share this app w everyone who needs help coordinating their life better! Definitely wish it was available for my friends w android OS.
