BEWARE OF LOSING YOUR DATA

I pay for Joist Pro, I put in a massive estimate into the system. Took me many hours to complete. 15 pages, $850k contract. Signed by the home owner, estimate was sent to the bank which the construction loan was based on. I go in to look at the estimate and ITS GONE! Completely wiped from the system. I have been talking to Joist support for months now and they aren’t helping with the situation at all.
Here is what Brendan, a supervisor, just told me in response to them losing my data:
“unfortunately you're just running into a limitation of the app here. The app simply wasn't designed with extremely large estimates/invoices like this in mind... for the time being all we can suggest is limiting the scope or your descriptions and number of line items, or splitting the line items across multiple estimates/invoices to mitigate against this issue occurring again.”
Nowhere does Joist warn people about these “limitations”. Instead of helping me, they just tell me to make my estimates smaller?!? Absolutely ridiculous.
Easy to use

This is one the very few Apps a would rate 5 stars. It’s been great for a few years and easy to use it’s just perfect for contractors like me, simple for us and it looks profesional for clients. I highly recommend this app as I’ve been doing to my friends.
Like the App
I have been using Joist for about a year and love the features that are part of it like items, emailing clients, convert estimates to invoices, view activities of clients when they view estimates, etc. The reason I gave only 3 stars is because the app dies not include any html editor in it for formatting. So, you cannot use bullets, underlining, bold, font size, fonts, etc. The estimates look very jumbled together and definitely need formatting to look professional. Not sure when they will add this. Almost all apps contain html editors so I’m not sure why they don’t.

Terrible Customer Service

Joist uses WePay to collect credit card payments. Somehow my joist/wepay account was hacked and money was taken from my wepay and sent to someone else. My customer paid, through Joist, with his credit card, the money was sitting in WePay, and someone took it, and deposited it into their account. Joist does not have a phone number, neither does WePay. Joist only has a “live chat”, which their way of helping was telling me to call my personal bank, or the bank of the person who took the money. I would not recommend anyone using this app if they do not have customer service.
