  • Easy to use

I have used it for 1 day. After briefly adjusting to the 3 step approach I memorized 14 verses.
  • Great app, wish you could use dictation

I love this app, it is one of the most useful for memorizing scripture passages. I always saw myself as someone struggling with memorization, and not really able to memorize Scripture, but this app changes it for me. I’ve used the app for over a year now, and have memorized 490 verses. I would never have thought that this was possible! The only wish I had was that the app would make use of Apple’s dictation features for reviewing verses. The thumb review is awesome, and the flash cards also useful, but there is nothing like reciting a verse verbally. Please please add this feature!

  • This app is great!

I really like this Bible memory app, especially the typing feature that only requires typing in the first letter of each word as I am terrible at typing on my smartphone. Would you consider adding catechisms during a future upgrade, the Westminster Shorter Catechism or Heidelberg Catechism for instance? The format of this app would work really well for memorizing those.
  • Most useful and helpful app on my phone…by far!

This app provides so many different ways to review and remember God's word. Best investment of time and money Ive ever made!
  • How is this free?

    By Nciskitty
This app is amazing! I have been using it for several months, and it has helped me memories not just verses - but CHAPTERS of the Bible, when I have always struggled to memorize in the past. I cannot believe an app this amazing is completely free. I absolutely recommend this to all Christians who want to deepen their relationship with God by memorizing Scripture.

I’ve been telling myself I needed to memorize more for years but this helped me build the micro routines I needed to build to do it!
  • Almost awesome

Update——they fixed it and within like a day of my first review. I am relieved and very pleased with the app now. It’s not pretty but so much better than all the competitors and for such a good value. Old—-My main frustration with this app is over the lack of response to a simple customer service issue. The app used to count verses as reviewed after I played my recordings of them. I’m now compelled to point out what’s good about the app: *I can import verses from common versions of the Bible without paying by the version. Not only that, I can edit after import (if there are a few words from another version I prefer in a certain point) other apps have me stuck with whatever wording from the one version I can choose. So frustrating. * I can review verses at three difficulty levels: seeing every word, every other word, or none of the words *I don’t have to type out every letter to review but just the first letter of each word * I can record the verses in MY OWN voice and play them back to review them. Other apps have me stuck listening to someone monotone or with faulty inflection if I can listen at all *I can tag and label verses into multiple categories. This is wonderful not only for helping me browse verses I would like to memorize, but archive important ones and use the search to find them much quicker than I would through a Bible app. *I can choose and change how often I’m scheduled to review each verse (granted, only after I have “mastered” it, but I can set what the mastery level is or import a partial verse, master it, then import more to get around that hindrance). For all these reasons, this is the only app I have found that has helped me stay disciplined on studying and tracking verses to my satisfaction A couple negatives: -I think the interface is still pretty ugly and am surprised they haven’t made it more attractive by now -you can’t see verses before and after what you imported without reimporting the whole selection of verses (unless you buy a certain version of the Bible and get the verse through their memorization method -there’s no way to get the app to not count chapter n verse misclicks against you ( I like to know the book and possibly chapter each scripture is in, but I really don’t care if it’s verse 17-19 or 21-27 & I don’t want to have to retype the whole selection just because I was off on those numbers -there’s a “password” button that pops up right above my keyboard while using this app which I keep hitting by mistake and is an annoyance. Password shouldn’t be an option at all since I am just typing letters. Back to the main issue: I have 1700 verses I have mastered, sometimes full chapters! And I will say much of it is due to the aid of this app, but reviewing all these takes a LONG time word by word typing so I really liked the function of being able to play some of the verses I am more familiar with and have them marked as reviewed without having to type each word’s first letter. Without this function, I get quickly backed up when I get busy with work and it’s hard to stay motivated to review verses being 800 behind. On top of that, as an auditory learner, I want to hear the verse as I review it. It helps me hear it when I want to remember it. I would have rated this app 4 stars if the story ended there, but, I contacted tech support about it and they sent me an email about passing the issue along to the developer. Within the week, he also emailed saying this function would be back in the next update coming in a few days. So I waited. A week passed. No change. Emailed again asking when I could expect the update. Tech forwarded my concerns again. Finally got a response that the update should be here by the weekend. Next week, same issues. I waited a bit longer and emailed. Tech support forwarded. He said updates take a bit of time sometimes but it’s coming. This is now five months later. I sent a more desperate email a couple weeks ago saying basically what I have posted above. Tech support forwarded. No other response. I really wouldn’t be such a pest about it if this wasn’t a function the app had in a prior version, but it is, and it helped me pick up the pace on memorizing more and reviewing. I simply want it back as the developer said it would be. In conclusion I put the two star review to get their attention since my pleading emails have been ignored, and I hope that any others who miss this function will join me in requesting it. That function along with the app’s other goodies, makes this a stellar app, and I will add some stars when I see it has returned.
  • This combines scripture memory with Anki

    By BEEJAXX76
I am impressed with how this combined scripture memory with anki type review. I really needed the reminders of review. It I s one thing to memorize something but it’s another thing to review it and keep up with it. I love that it has a gamifies scripture memory. I look forward to doing it every day. I’ve already memorize 11 verses and I’ve only been using it for a 2 weeks thank you!
