  • Ripping-off Customers

    By OhioSean
I subscribed for YEARS until their customer extortion experiment a few years ago. One day they jacked their price up to a few bucks a year to $50 or so, without adding any new services. They must have thought customers didn’t have a choice. I use BitWarden now, instead. It’s $10 a year, works every bit as well as LastPass, and they don’t treat their customers like suckers.

  • Premium

    By Friofrente
I am a premium user and have been for years. I would rate LastPass a 5, however, every year when my subscription renews it says I am a free user on all my iOS devices. The only way around this is to delete LastPass yearly and reinstall it. It then correctly shows me as premium. This is a HUGE annoyance. This also is a consistent problem if you google the issue with countless posts questioning why they’re listed as a free user after paying. LastPass needs to fix this and it should be a priority yet year after year here we are. This is not the first time I’ve mentioned this in a review either as I’m editing a review I left years ago regarding the same issue. The difference is I’m also listing the “fix” in this review since LastPass is refusing to fix it so other users may stop wasting their time with support and fix it themselves by deleting and reinstalling. I will consider building my password database with another password manager if this continues on next renewal.
  • Device Syncing

Password syncing across devices is unreliable. Some passwords sync and others don’t.

I’m not a fan of the iOS app. Tells me I need to update to 4.98, but I’m on 5.12.
