    This app has helped my husband and myself lose weight. He has lost 60 pounds and I have lost 50. Of course with a little bit of exercise and a healthy diet the app enhances your overall lifestyle of healthy habits. He has the premium and I have the free edition. Both work well for our lifestyle. Definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to see what you are eating 💪🇺🇸✌️
  • Latest update killed syncing

    I’ve used this app for years. The latest update it “cooked up” killed the syncing between my iPhone and iPad. Perhaps the developers should focus on functionality and not aesthetics.

    A big thing missing is the ability to sync with a Fitbit or Apple Watch to track steps. Love being able to scan items and find entrees from restaurants already included. I paid for the yearly membership but don’t feel like it was worth the cost.

    I bought the full version at nearly $40 only to find that it won’t work with my Fitbit. The ads claim you can track weight, steps, exercise etc but they don’t tell you it will be automatically imported only if you have an Apple Watch. Everything has to be manually entered on this app. That’s okay if you’re only tracking calories, but it’s an exorbitant price for just counting calories.

    Love this app. Very easy to use. Many of the foods I eat are in the database. Exercising counts. The only thing is that to enjoy the full benefits you’ll need to pay for the upgrade. I recommend the app.

    I really like this app. Even the free version is good enough. After a month of trying it for free, I’ll probably upgrade and check out all of the other features.

    The only dieting that works well for me is controlling calories. I simply need this app to app to do it. The more you use it, the easier it gets.
  • Compared to weight watchers and other programs

    I worked in clinical research at the University of Pittsburg, and they did a study that compared my fitness pal, LoseIt, weight watchers, and people doing their own diet and exercise. During that time I tried my fitness pal and did not like it, and did not have a great success with my weight loss. I had also been a lifetime weight watcher member, but their new online program was very Cumbersome. The dietitian I worked with suggested I try the Lose It app. I could not believe how the weight started to come off and how easy the app was to use. I was able to email her weekly and she could look at my calorie intake and determine if I was eating enough carbs, protein etc.. I am lose it for getting me back to the way that I needed to be. I have now been retired three years and in that time I have put on about 15 pounds even though I’m active riding horses almost daily. A week ago I decided it was time to knock off this weight. I diligently logged everything I ate this past week and got on the scale this morning and I had lost 5 pounds. I’m very impressed with the app, I have never gotten the premium because I didn’t want to spend the extra money being retired. Thank you for creating something that is so easy to use I have showed it to all of my friends over the years and so many people have used it in probably going to premium. The only thing I think needs improved is it expanded menu for the restaurants that you do have especially the chain restaurants. It also would be nice if some of the grocery stores had more selections, but then again you can always scan the barcode‘s. I rarely find a barcode that will not pick up. I had to lose another 10 pounds before the beginning of June when I hit the beach. Thanks again for helping me keep in shape and healthy. Sincerely Rosemary

    Well designed app that makes it easy to track weight, food and exercise. With many foods and types of exercise in the database one can quickly enter the information. Nice summaries of food values helps in tracking sodium, fat intake, etc.
