  • Good app

I tried WW and my fitness pal . Did not really like either one. I like this app a lot. I bought an Apple Watch, which I have connected. Very easy. I love the positive, helpful and fun feel of the app. My favorite part of the app was the “ Milestone” pop ups. “ two pounds lost! You have lost the weight of a pineapple” Very motivating! And it was fun to send to my friends ! ( we support each other) But they have removed this feature. So I am rating 4 instead of 5 .
  • Easy to Use but Calories Incorrect

This app is easy to use to enter foods and create recipes. I like being able to create my own macro and calorie goals. One BIG thing I wish was different - adding foods manually. The app requires you to enter the calorie count. I wish the app would calculate the calories automatically by letting me input fat, carbs and protein. Most of the food labels do NOT have correct calorie content on them. Yes, I can manually calculate correct calories and enter them. But other apps have this feature and make it easier. An update to this app to make this possible would make the app just about perfect.
  • Eating disorder app

This app absolutely contributed to my eating disorder. I don’t know anyone who has used a calorie counting app that hasn’t developed disordered eating as a result. You don’t need an app like this. Avoid.
  • Fine app, but the business is shady. They charge unexpectedly.

Most apps charge through apple, if you have an iPhone. Lose It charged me through their website after cancelling my subscription via Apple. Then after asking for a refund, they cancelled the ticket within a week, and didn’t resolve anything. Don’t let them take your money. Sign up for Noom instead.

I love this and can’t believe that I have continued to use this religiously for 4 months. I am down 20lbs. I love that it’s creating habits and that just daily movement counts and if you move a bunch, it will go toward calories. I have used other trackers in the past, including WW and my Fitness pal. This one is amazing.
  • Too many reminders

I have used this app for years. Latest version has too many reminders and no way to turn them off. Will not renew subscription.

I’ve used Lose It successfully for years. It has also helped me keep weight off after “losing it”. However, there are a few things I feel really need to be improved. Sometimes I have scanned an item’s barcode, only for a completely different item to come up. (Not a huge deal) There are times when scanning a barcode will bring up the correct item, but the details will be off. Maybe it’s outdated/old? There should be a way for us to update the item as opposed to entering an entirely different entry. Lastly, when you’re trying to lose weight, being precise matters. So when someone enters “1 Serving” as opposed to “28 Grams”, it’s not only unhelpful, it’s frustrating. This is another instance where we should be able to update/change the entry to our needs (ie grams, ounces, servings, etc) It’s just causing us to enter a single item multiple times. Other than that, it’s a super useful app.
  • Works!

Love this app. Easy to use....thats huge because easy means I don't have a "it just takes too much time to enter my food" excuse. I love how simple it is to capture food, through a search, barcode, or even scanning nutritional info! No typing needed. Simple to add my food again and again. Thank you, Lose it! In just 7 weeks, I am down 16 lbs. And am making an important ifestyle change.
  • Too much incomplete/inaccurate data...

Been using this app for nearly three years. It’s helpful but there are a few issues... 1) nowhere for submitting feedback (hence this review) 2) there’s too much inaccurate and incomplete food data. It needs to have required fields for macros or just save the ‘calories only’ entries as ‘’my foods” with no public access. N/a n/a n/a n/a n/a is useless but shows up again and again for thousands of entries. 3) Sugar alcohols are counted as net carbs. Who does that? That is so basic I can’t believe it’s not been addressed. It literally makes the numbers inaccurate.
