  • Syncing issues persist years later

Update a note on iOS, close the note, go do other stuff for an hour, open the same note on my PC to update it, but then notice that my iOS changes didn’t get uploaded. Open the iOS app to check. UH OH sync error! Now I have two of the same note, and have to manually merge the changes. Now do this every week for the last several months. Yay! Just give me a manual sync button. 12/2022: syncing issues still an almost every day occurrence. By far the worst app I pay money to use. 1/2023: now it’s constantly nagging me to upgrade to professional and pay even more! Every day my hatred grows of this app.

Every time I open the app it makes me click twice to decline the paid subscription. PLEASE MAKE IT STOP
  • Not compatible with my class notes

Just recently purchased the annual professional subscription, but I then realized that the app was not compatible with my notes. It said that I was over my monthly note size which is a bunch of bull if I’m paying $107 to use this. It wouldn’t let me add my annotated notes to the app because it was too big. It also wouldn’t let me annotate my notes with my Apple Pencil without using markup, but then after I used markup it wouldn’t let me save it to the app.
  • 45% price increase!?

How do you jump from $45 to $65 for the subscription price? Seriously! A 45% increase!? Seriously!? I understand having to bump it up from year to year, but this is ridiculously ridiculous. Great time to find a new note taking app.
  • not improving, but getting much more expensive

someone wrote that evernote is a riches to rags story. truth. it was hands-down better than everyone else. now it's just another notebook app, and they keep jacking up the price, without improving the product.
  • Almost a decade of use, integrate Tasks with Google Tasks account PLEASE

I’ve suggested changes in the past and was pleasantly surprised when it was featured in an update. Whether it was already in the works, a groupthink I tapped in or just my little suggestion, no matter, I was pleased Evernote developers met my needs. Now I have a new need: Allow Evernote’s task function to sync / use a Google Task email account. Evernote already syncs with Google Calendar, why not allow tasks I create in my Evernote app be synced and populate in my Task app, and vice-versa? I’ve been a loyal user of Evernote since 2014. It’s layout, ease of functionality and dependability have made my life so much easier. Some people swear by OneNote - and that’s fine - I wonder if it has something to do with the the way notes, notebooks are created and arranged? Different strokes for different folks I suppose.
  • Scanning text doesn’t work

Doesn’t work as advertised. You can’t take pictures of handwriting and/or PDF & the have text be scannable. Customer service was useless as well.

This app is really convenient to use, and it’s intuitive and smooth. It makes it so easy for my wife and I to share the information we need to in a place we know to look for it. Really nice features like header styles and dividers for easy organization. The free options are enough to make this app worthwhile for me. My only wish is that I could change the options for font colors. Very minor thing, but otherwise it’s a phenomenal app
  • This app and the desktop version are life-changing

I purchased Evernote back in September after struggling to find a note-taking system that met my needs in my current position for many months. I have about 25 customers, a ton of zoom meetings, and was actually just diagnosed with pretty significant adult ADHD after using it successfully for a few months. The desktop integration with my google corporate calendar on a Mac that automatically prompts me as a reminder to create a meeting note, then lists all of the date/time info and a task list and meeting note format is so critical to my daily work I’m not sure how I got by without it (I do believe that’s a paid feature). The ability to tag every note keeps me organized with very little effort. Being able to forward emails of importance into my notebooks is amazing. The task list with the reminder feature has become my lifeline. I used to be a huge OneNote fan, but I’m a lifelong Evernote user now. I’ve started using it to keep track of personal and family information as well, and I just can’t say enough good things. Absolutely well worth the money for the top-tier subscription in my case. Thank you to the developers!
