    I can’t believe how accurate the app is. Once you understand the energy flow things start to click. From there it’s very easy to adjust your sleep patterns so you get the most out of it.

    i made an account, it told me my sleep debt, and i started logging my hours of sleep for the past week. then it crashed. now i literally cannot do anything without starting a trial. not a single thing. the only thing on the screen is the “try 7 days free” page, with no “skip” button or anything. this app is not functional at all unless you can afford to spend $59.99 a year just to track your sleep. as a teenager, not even close to worth it.
  • Big issue: Does not read updates from Apple Health after first import.

    I use SleepWatch and Gyroscope to track sleep and I stumbled upon Rise. It intrigued me and I ended up paying for an annual subscription after finding benefits in its Sleep Debt calculations and visualizations. However, after importing SleepWatch sleep data (I always wear my Apple Watch to sleep), I’ve noticed that Rise doesn’t always import or update the full amount of time SleepWatch and Apple Health says I slept. This bug can be reproduced after I manually edit and adjust (to correct) sleep times in Sleep Watch, which then properly updates Apple Health (which should be the source of truth), but does not update Rise again. This inaccurate and obsolete value then messes up my Sleep Debt calculation and makes it irrelevant to use. (Or I’d need to do manual, duplicate work to correct and adjust Rise whenever it is off.) Will change to 5-stars if they fix this. Bummer they haven’t yet despite pushing the button to report inaccurate data for several weeks.
  • Great App - Annoying Paywall

    I really wish I could give this 5 stars. The app itself deserves 5 stars. However, I find it unusable because I can’t close the paywall and even use the free features. If I open and quit the app a few times the paywall will go away for awhile. Then I try to use it again and I’m met with the paywall again. I want to sign up eventually - I would first like to use the free features to ensure it works how I imagined it would.

    This app is a really great concept and I’ve definitely learned some things about sleep. What doesn’t make sense is the sleep debt. My sleep need was 8 hours, and somehow some days I sleep 8+ hours and my sleep debt goes up by an hour? How’s that make sense.
  • Great concept, Needs Improvement

    This app has a great concept but it’s not there yet (especially at $60 per year lol). There are MANY bugs to work out and after reading many of these reviews, others agree too. I found it difficult to adjust actual sleep times even with my Fitbit synced. Towards the end of my trial it started getting better but I just don’t trust the accuracy yet. If the developers continue making improvements to the actual accuracy of the app, I’d gladly pay $60 for the year but until then it’s a waste.
