Always been a fan of Star Trek. I like this game a lot I download it decided to give it a shot. Since I Got the game I lose track of time and find myself playing for hours. Definitely worth the download.
  • Can’t download game

I’ve been playing this game almost since the beginning. It totally crashed on me today and I did everything I could to get it loaded but it never did. I uninstalled the game because I figured it would fix the crash and I have my ID. I am able to download other games but I can’t download this one again. Hopefully someone from tech will get this message.

Game is designed to extract the maximum cash possible. In game purchases invariably disappoint, there is always another resource or item required. Unless you literally spend thousands (no exaggeration) you will have to grind for hours each day to stay mediocre. Game is buggy, sometimes accounts get locked or lost, 3-5 days seems normal for tech support to respond. Very poor for time-sensitive events which often take place. Also asking for help from tech support can be like asking the local crackhead to watch your pace for the weekend. Blockbuster has been defunct for years but I think their customer service is likely still more responsive than Scopely.

Install, ad pops up about a borg event, close ad, app stuck on ad background. Uninstall.
  • Good game long grind

STFC is the one single game that I have played for the longest time. I stay playing mainly for the moderately fair play and the great alliance that I am part of. The economic system around the game is, the best word I can use to describe it, fair. It respects the grind time that players put in by placing a high monetary cost to packs that give the same rewards and resources. Having said that, it is not easy to progress without spending at least some money, for example, battle pass, to keep up with the main crowd. A stable server with stable alliances and being part of a good alliance is important to having fun in this game, regardless of the amount of money you plan to spend. From the strategy perspective, there is enough depth in the game where a relatively weaker ship can beat a more powerful one with the right officer setup, and research and planning do matter. All of this add up to a fun game with lots of depth, lots of good people, and lots of ways to play. One thing of caution though, if you don’t have a couple hours a day to keep up, this game may not be for you.

  • Cyber bullying is huge

    By AgusOnoir
I absolutely love Star Trek and the game itself is truly great….however, there is ZERO options to deal with people that blatantly use their wallets to be able to over power you, and consistently target and harass lower power players. I’ve see extreme vulgar and bigoted comments in galaxy chat, and reporting it does nothing. There are players that target lower power players, and harass them. Can’t do anything about it. There’s no option to opt out of pvp and enjoy the game. The only option is to spend literal thousands of dollars to become a power player. You HAVE to complete dailies to keep shields. Otherwise it’s “shield or share”. The bullying is so bad servers got together and create Rules of Engagements (RoEs) to allow players to enjoy the game without over the top bullying, but those are not completely enforceable, as they are not developer sanctioned. I love the game…except it’s mentally exhausting dealing with the bullies that Scopely doesn’t care enough about to address as it seems that would hurt their bottom line too much.
  • Good game, but pay2win

    By Worlv
Let me start by saying I love this game, it has great designs and is a wonderful setup and game. But it also is drastically pay2win. You can survive as a light spender, but if you don’t want to spend a penny, don’t bother playing. My suggestion is spend a few bucks here or there, but don’t play if you don’t want to spend. Great game but needs fixes
  • A toxic grind

    By TheGreyMage
On the surface this seems like a neat Star Trek game. There are some quick missions to get the Star Trek feel. However it quickly turns into a grind fest for materials to upgrade ships and your base. A lot of which is locked behind paywalls. This turns worse when compounded with predatory and harassing players who will target you in order to steal your resources. Reporting players for repeated harassing behavior has no consequences. The devs are absentee landlords at best. This is definitely not a Star Trek game. It is a pay to win game with a Star Trek façade. Save yourself the time and find something, anything else to play.
