Jot is the no-fuss way to take notes. Our app helps you get all your big ideas and little ‘things to remember’ into a simple, stripped down format. Easy swipe gestures keep your list of notes short and orderly. Remember anything by searching through your full archives. Use quick and easy todo lists, and basic reminders to stay on top of daily life stuff. Jot leaves out all the fancy, distracting stuff you don’t need: formatting, drawing, tags, categories, shared lists, sync, stickers, etc. It’s just as simple and straightforward as using a piece of paper. Only what you need. No funny stuff. • Create notes instantly • No titles or saving • Distraction free writing • Quick feed of active notes • Search through your entire archive • Customization — turn off spelling, grammar helpers • Get data out by swipe to copy

  • A minimalist dream list app, but...

Never wrote a survey but this app is exactly what I've been looking for. Not being able to re arrange notes is REALLY annoying. A way to change the color of the purple would be great. Not looking for the bells and whistles, the beauty of the app is the fact it's basic, just these things I'm sure many would appreciate.
  • Great app for taking quick notes!

I use this app all the time for writing down ideas, reminders, quotes, etc. before I have time to fully sort through them. It's really effective as a scratchpad for my thoughts!

🤩🤓😎😎😆😆😆🧐🤨😏😏😌☺️☺️☺️😄😄😄😄😄🤭😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬. Also, please add calendar integration so I can see the scheduled reminders on my calendar. I like to have my calendar as a quick view for what needs to be done.
  • Add this please

Can you please add big text at the top over the search bar and there should stan Notes in bog text that would make me use the app daily. I would use it more than the actual notes app. So please add that.
  • Terrific idea, lousy execution

So much potential here but the app simply doesn't feel native :(
  • Saves my precious thoughts

Some of the random stuff that appears in my mind seems important and/or interesting, and Jot is the best way I’ve found to quickly eject that material into a safe holding location for future review. Its flexibility means I’m never snarkily complaining in my head about its clueless developers, but rather just focusing on my possibly-brilliant ideas.
  • Repeat reminders

    By coc711
Expect to support repeat reminders and add the date of saving the notes
  • How do I delete notes?

Cool app but I can't figure out how to delete notes????
  • Promising, but with Rough Edges

    By mmccroskey
I love the premise of this app — simple, fast note taking. But a number of rough edges make it a bit of a pain to use. First, the Archive, etc. confirmation dialog is a nice idea, but it appears and disappears so quickly that it’s basically impossible to interact with it. I tried touching down on the dialog and leaving my finger there in the hopes it would stay until I lifted my finger, but it made no difference. Honestly, I would prefer a less intrusive, long-lasting dialog (perhaps a little bar that sits at the bottom of the screen for a moment?). Second, the dialog doesn’t always reflect what you just did. For instance, if you go to an archived note and I unarchive it, the dialog says “Archived” rather than “Unarchived”. Third, several of the animations are rough: for instance, archiving the note causes it to jitter off the screen and then the item abruptly disappears from the list. Fourth, I was a bit shocked that you couldn’t reorder notes. Seems like an easy win that doesn’t complicate the app nor tarnish its core premise — especially in light of iOS 11’s addition of drag and drop. Finally, in a particularly ironic move, tapping the “Feedback” button in Settings causes the app to crash for me. I’m guessing this is because it tries to open Mail, and I don’t have the Mail app configured. Overall, I’d love to love this app, but when the entire premise is a paid app that does one thing beautifully, it needs to do that one thing with more polish than this app currently exhibits.
