I recently moved from a PC to a Mac to discover that MasterCook (with my hundreds of recipes) didn't have a Mac version. Luckily I found Recipe Keeper. Love the price, and the customer service is amazing. I needed help converting my recipes and Richard was there to help, responding quickly and, after trial and error, coming up with a workable solution. Editing recipes and putting them in categories is a snap. Thanks!!!

I absolutely love this app. I use it almost daily now. Yes you do have to pay for different platforms but I find this app so useful and so easy to use that I think it's worth it. When I think of all the recipes I used to print out what it's saved me in paper alone makes it worth it. Being able to easily upload an online recipe filtering out all the unecessary information and ads etc is brilliant.

If you buy this on your Mac, just know that you then have to buy it again on your iPad for the two to be able to sync up. I have requested a refund.
  • A little disappointed

I purchased this on my mac and once I figured out how to use the categories and change or add I was happy with the app. So I decided to sync up with my iPhone. Was disappointed that I had to pay again for that, but I went ahead and did so. Now I see that the ingredients and the directions are on separate screens on the phone and it is not so convenient! Am I missing something? So disappointed :-(
  • Best Recipe App I have found

I have been using Recipe Keeper for 9 months, prior to that I had used MacGourmet. When I got my new iBoop Pro I need to get a current version of a recipe app and reviewed the options. I am totally satisfied with Recipe Keeper, it does it all and in a user friendly way. I was able to transfer the recipes from MacGourmet so I did not loose my existing catelog. It imports recipes from the web so easily that I love to search the web for what I need for a meal and quicly and easily import and use. The felxibility to arrange and categorize the recipes allows me to save and later find the receipes in a way that suits me best, nothing more frustrating than knowing you have a great recipe and cannot find it...Grrrr. The shopping list creations also has the flexibility I want, the default structure is by food category, I like to sort by the store I will shop in and RK allows me to reorganize and structure the way I like to shop at different stores for different products. Without doubt Recipe Keeper is the best app and worth the price charged.
  • Only buy if you use one device

Regardless of what the information states about syncing across devices, that only applies if you have the same platform for the devices. For examples, syncing works for iphone and ipad but not macbook and ipad. You have to purchase the Pro version for every device. If you are looking for an all-around syncing program, this is not the one to buy. I do not recommend.
  • Magical scanning

The scanning feature works really well - I'm so impressed I can scan a newspaper clipping and get it all filled in within a few minutes!

I use this app to store the recipes I make that I really like. I have the app on my phone and on my computer. It's convenient on my phone because if I'm out and I think about making something, I can look up the ingredients I need then and there without having to run home to get the recipe.
  • I love this program

I've been using this for quite some time now. It just keeps getting better. I even use it with a DIY category to keep simple household tasks and hacks that otherwise would require looking for the manual or doing a web search to refresh my ailing memory.
  • Booo! Separate purchase to sync to Mac?

I love the iOS versions of the app and love the app itself but feel a little misled that it's advertised "sure you can sync to all your devices" but then a separate fee is required to do so for a Mac. Come on guys....
