  • Great game, terrible rates.

Fate Grand Order is one of my favorite games of all time. It has many great characters, exciting story, and events. However, the gacha rates are horrible. FGO has some of the worst 5 star rates I’ve seen among any gacha games. The rates for getting a 5 star servant are so bad they might as well be borderline illegal. If you plan on playing FGO, I recommend that you develop good saving habits because you can’t impulse pull and expect to get a featured servant.

As a die hard fan of the Fate series, FGO is my favorite mobile game. The writing is excellent and it has kept me hooked for years. The Lost Belts in particular are very well developed when compared to earlier singularities. I only wish more scenes had voiced dialogue, because what little voice acting there is in the game is amazing. I hope to be playing FGO for many more years to come.

I had already seen some of the Fate anime before finding this game, and was unaware it was quite popular. I had tried Genshin a bit, but was overwhelmed by the currencies, materials, and general UI aspects. In contrast, FGO is comparatively straightforward. While you will need to eventually understand the different currencies and how you acquire them (Saint quartz, mana prisms, skill up materials and embers), they’re largely unlocked as you go. Quartz, the summoning item, is pretty easy to acquire in the early game, and there is a constant steady trickle once you’re caught up with the main plot. All the freely acquired servant are quite good, and some people make a point to only play with 3* or lower servants to show it’s possible. Probably most important to note, North America is ~2yrs behind Japan’s content, which means that you can actually plan ahead who you want to summon, or who you want to strength for a big event. It’s actually quite helpful to know once you’ve gotten a decent roster.
  • Be warned

If you play this game, the gacha is very bogus. Don’t believe the rate ups. Literally the developers are greedy. The CE and servants are all in the same gacha. You’ll get more craft essance than servants. If you want to play the game. Play it, but you have been warned.

  • More Hero’s

Well in the Fate franchise there are a lot more hero’s that can be added before you make more for the game like Richard Lionheart, pestilence, Sir Geraint, Sir Percival, Morgan la Fay, Sir Kay, Sir Gareth, Archer Hercules, and many more but I also think that some hero’s should be made stronger for example Gilgamesh is the strongest heroic spirit there is.

I’m a huge Fate series fan and got into FGO pretty recently, unsurprisingly finding myself in love with the game. Despite the no pity system it’s a greatly enjoyable game with a well-balanced roster of servants and an engaging battle system. However, a single complaint I have is regarding the format of the screen for devices like the iPhone 10 or 11, where it doesn’t fit the whole screen (instead there’s a smaller box that encompasses the game, which I wish would be resolved. The JP version of the app has the screen fully stretched out, when can we expect that update for NA?

Hi I’m a “veteran” FGO player and if you’re new to the game and have any questions. Dm me. The title of this review is my discord ID. Send a message about your question and I’ll be quick to answer! I see many misconceptions in the reviews and it seems that not many new players understand the mechanics about FGO.
