VRV is great and I watch many shows but funimation left and now some of the shows I watched are missing, but I realized why.

It's littered with bugs and glitches. This latest version now is unable to find my Chromecast when casting. Only shows the "nearby" option on the casting list. So now I'm pretty much stuck paying monthly for an app that won't play on my TV, my primary viewing method.

Thank you for updating in including proper support for the latest iPad Pro devices! A lot of apps right now are lagging, so I really appreciate it. It looks great!

When I Crome cast on this app I can’t seem to rewatch episodes from the beginning, as well as fast forward or rewind. I can’t even move from one part of the episode to another like other apps on chromecast unless I get out of chromecast first. I think this is something I would like to put on attention. Now it won’t connect to chromecast at all.

Chrome cast support is missing in this new update. I only watch VRV on my tv casting from my phone, this is so bad and sad :(
  • Clunky

The iOS app is better than, say, Roku, but in general VRV tends to be slow to navigate and a bit clunky when it comes to search and discovery. It’s bad enough that I kept paying for my Shudder add-on on Prime even when it was included with my VRV premium sub. I’ll highlight that again: I had Shudder through VRV Premium and I felt it was worth paying $5/mo extra just to not have to use VRV to watch it. That said, I kept the sub because of Crunchyroll’s cross account and Funimation being on there—for both of those, $10/mo was a good deal. I only watch dubbed for the most part, so lived in Funimation, but figured it was essentially a $4 add-on for subs, manga, Harmonquest and a few other mildly interesting channels. Now that Funimation is gone, I’m paying for their service directly and VRV just isn’t worth it anymore so I’ve cancelled. I may end up with a Crunchyroll sub at some point too, but the other VRV channels just really aren’t that compelling. Combined with the somewhat rough experience I can’t recommend VRV anymore; they’d need to drop Premium to $6 or less to compensate for their huge content loss.

Please offer AirPods support for this app. At least 25 million sold per reports. Come on!!!
  • Finally updated playback navigation!

I’ve been waiting for a while for this update, the playback navigation is great. One minor suggestion is to allow for quicker pausing with just tapping the middle of the screen without waiting for the pause button to pop up

The add itself is very good. I love the fact that I can download and watch on the go, it is the main reason I have the membership. But this feature doesn’t always work. I had downloaded this app around 8 times because the offline videos do not reproduce. When it works I am so pleased but it stops and I have to download again and again. Please fix this big issue 😭
