  • Clearly PDF Expert doesn't care about interoperability with other apps

with mac version, PDF Expert can't work with Hookmark reliably, because it doesn't provide x-callback urls etc. as other apps do. with ios version, PDF Expert can't work with DEVONthink, because they doesn't care about fixing that bug they already knew for years. What do they care about now? Subscription? Pro features?
  • Great App - needs a tweak

Love this app. Only one small problem. Like others that have moved tabs to the top (which I strongly dislike), there are 2 active areas at the top of app windows. One area is, for lack of a better word, the "window heading". The other area is for each open tab ("tab heading"). In the case of this app there is almost no difference in the color of these two areas. Both are effectively black on first glance resulting in just a single large undifferentiated black area on top of each window. (With some staring for a few seconds one can see that the tab heading is an almost imperceptible shade lighter.) As a result I'm forever accidently clicking the tab heading when I want to move the whole window resulting in (odd and annoying) "tab move" behavior. I've looked and can't seem to find an option allowing me to change this. PLEASE either tell me how I can make such a change or, provide much higher contrast between the two area colors or even give users the option to select the desired color for each. Would be VERY MIUCH appreciated.

I have had this app for many years and it just keeps getting better and better.
  • OCR substandard

The OCR is substandard, failing to recognize 90% of the words on a page; the complete opposite of a free OCR app I use I thought using your version of OCR I would streamline & eliminate extra steps If I want to run OCR on a document with scanned text, I have to grab a screen shot, convert said screenshot from .png back to pdf then open in your app. This is exactly how I use the free OCR reader app It's one thing to go through those steps using a free app, an entirely different thing on an app costing $39.99 OCR definitely needs work-not ready for prime time
  • It is broken

I feel for the people of Ukraine, but I can not afford to support a software that is not functioning. Either the Russians have gained control of this company or the stress of the war has finally caught up with PDF expert. It used to be such a good piece of software.
